“The term hippotherapy refers to how occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech-language pathology professionals use evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning, the purposeful manipulation of equine movement as a therapy tool to engage sensory, neuromotor and cognitive systems to promote functional outcomes.
"EAL" is facilitated by an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning, ESMHL, alongside a teaching professional. Participants experience hands on, ground based, activities with horses.
"EAP" is a mental health treatment intervention facilitated by licensed mental health therapist, Brittany Rice, LCSW, alongside a certified Equine Specialist (ESMHL).
Therapeutic Riding is an intervention facilitated by a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor, CTRI. This program you can expect to ride a horse while working to promote improved daily functioning.
Facilitated under the care of Ashley Colwell, CCC-SLP, Founder of H.A.L.T.
Facilitated under the care of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Speech therapy is led on site by a licensed speech, language pathologist, utilizing horse assisted sessions to target communication, social interaction, and sensory regulation.
Occupational and Physical therapy are offered through trusted contact therapist, providing personalized, movement based sessions, focused on motor coordination, strength, and functional daily living skills.
